Employment
Thanks to the launch of the iPhone, and it's never ending upgrades, it has made Apple the most profitable company in the world. It would be a no-brainer to want to invest in or work for Apple. Having Apple on your resume is the key to unlocking any position at any company you could dream of. Apple is financially stable (that is an understatement) and provides competitive salaries and benefits for employees. The company has great leadership which would allow for fantastic learning opportunities for student interns and employees, alike. The work environment is serious and smart- it encourages employees to better themselves and constantly improve. Apple treats its employees well and allows everyone to grow, even part time workers.
Products & Business Strategy
Apple's products are so successful that they make almost anyone want to purchase them. So much, in fact so, that engineers at Apple create the products based off what they want. It was Steve Jobs mission to create products that were accessible to the "real customer" and that is still true of Apple products today. Each year Apple continues to innovate and improve all their products. I recommend keeping with this strategy so that Apple can stay the #1 leader in innovation. The better products they have, the more loyal customers they will have and their finances will continue to shoot through the roof. Because Apple has a lot of competition, it is important that they stay ahead in all aspects of their business.
I would also recommend that Apple tries to start making more of their products locally. This may cost them more, but they have the finances to do it. This would stimulate the American economy and provide more jobs nationwide. It could also help with the rising labor costs that have posed a threat to Apple. Although Apple is expanding into the most well- known, global company, it wouldn't hurt them to produce more in their home country.
I think a great thing that Apple did was acquire the Beats company. It allowed them to take on another popular, profitable product and put their name on it. I think acquisitions like this are important because it gives companies an edge and it turns heads. If Apple could continue to acquire strong and successful companies like Beats, they will be an unstoppable force and technology empire (they are already well on their way to this). The opportunities would be endless, market share would go up, and profits would continue to increase.
All in all, through my research I found that Apple is a very sound company. They are so successful and seem to make all the right moves, that it is hard to find anything wrong with them. Every business makes mistakes, but Apple learns from them fast and goes on to improve and outdo themselves. If I ever had the chance to work for this company, I would take it without a second thought.
